By <a href="http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Travis_Olague" >Travis Olague</a></p>
<p>Our modern society has invented a great number of nice and
pretty advanced technological imagery gadgets, like that of photo
cameras, CD/ DVD players etc, we can use all of them and to create some
cute digital photos. Nowadays you can print the most exciting moments
of your life having captured then on digital memory. With just a simple
push of the button, you have excelled by taking a qualitative photo
nearly every time. The most magical events like holidays, travelling,
family picnics, weddings, anniversaries, parties and just memories of
everyday life are captured onto this art form.</p><p>In
addition to this classical way to keep your memories, there is another
interesting and up-to-date method to enjoy your remembrances. For
example, canvas prints are the best way to keep your memories as you
can turn your prodigies into canvases, printed and stretched around the
frame, which suits most of all as for presents and gifts. This simple
method gives a good result as a piece wonderful piece of artwork. It
adds a super decor to your house, office or any other place where you
can spend most of your time. Also canvas prints provide a nice,
pleasant and comfortable atmosphere to any place where they are hung.
So, what sizes and colors can you select to see these prints in? The
answer to this is really down to your imagination, as a very wide range
is available for your inspiration and fantasy to examine. From the very
small sizes too big and extra large formats canvases can be
created.</p><p>One of the interesting aspect about
photographs are the digital pixels. These pixels which make up a
digital picture are used by the large format printers one by and
printed with great accuracy so there is very little failure or
degradation of the original picture information. Thus, even if the
canvas is stretched into a bigger format rather than the small original
photo, the quality is not spoilt. Moreover the quality of the final
product is really nice. Even older non digital photos can benefit and
be turned into canvas and they can shine even brighter than ever
before. With the up-to-date technologies you can really achieve a very
good result. Another contemporary tool can help you to produce
qualitative canvas prints are those Photoshop or
illustrator.</p><p>So, what are the
processes?</p><p>Firstly, choose your favourite photo. When
you are happy with the choice of photo it is ready for printing, next
is to find the right company and make an order. Discussing all the
points regarding subject, design, colours, shades, sizes, special
effects etc. with the team at the selected canvas company. Then it`s
only down to you to hang your canvas on the wall, remembering that the
key features of a canvas print are its subject matter and light it
hangs in, so position carefully and enjoy
forever.</p><p>So, make an order right now and enjoy your

<p>Demoscene - The Concept
<br>Demoscene is a computer art program that helps produce demos.
Demos are real time non-interactive audio-visual presentations executed
on a computer. The purpose of creating them is to display programming,
artistic, and musical skills.</p><p>The History
<br>The idea of Demoscene Art appeared in 1980, from the early
'cracking scene.' It started gaining popularity at the time of
Commodore 64 and the first Amiga computers. Then, it was mainly used
for software cracking. During that period, software development was at
peak and with the copy protection, such as demo version limit, CD
check, serial numbers, hardware key, and embedded advertisements it
became even more protected. The purpose of designing the 'software
cracking' was to remove those protection
techniques.</p><p>With the emergence of Internet, the
cracking became easy and soon gained popularity worldwide. The cracking
groups wanted some recognition for their work and therefore they
started adding small artwork known as 'crackto,' to each of their
works.</p><p>The Competition
<br>The Demoscene artists faced large competition among group and
against other artists, in artistic and technical superiority. Earlier,
the competition was in the form of setting records, such as the number
of blitter objects ('bobs') on the screen per frame, or the number of
different Y Character position (DYCP) scrollers on a C64. Now, these
competitions are more organized or 'compos,' mostly held in demo
parties. However, there are some online competitions too. In demo
parities, a ranking list of the best coders, musicians, demos, graphic
artists, and other related specialists are selected on voting based
charts. In 1990s, the voting based charts also
diminished.</p><p>The artists or the group had to be
present in these party oriented competitions and a public polling among
the people present in the party would choose the winner. There were no
rules for the voters. They generally voted for the entries, which made
the biggest impression on them. Earlier, the artists were selected on
their programming techniques, record- breaking performances, and new
effects. However, now the emphasis changed from technical excellence to
artistic values, like audiovisual impact, overall design, and
mood.</p><p>In the recent times, an alternative way was
found to award the demo artists or group by the name of Scene.org
Awards. The concept was introduced to avoid the biased mass voting at
the parties and to choose a renowned jury to select the artists or
group for the year's best production on various aspects like Best 64k
Intro or Best Graphics.</p><p>The Demoscene is still used
on many platforms, with the C64, PC, ZX, MSX, Amstrad, CPC, Amiga,
Atari, Game Boy Advance, and Dreamcast. 3D benchmark programs also
provide a demo, which originate its roots from the old 16-bit
platforms.</p><p>Annette Labedzki received her BFA at the
Emily Carr College of Art and Design in Vancouver, B.C. Canada. She has
more than 25 years experience. She is the founder and developer of an
online art gallery featuring original art from all over the world.

<p>One of the leaders in the world in the field of printing is
Canada, especially the state of Toronto. In spite of such a heavy and
diverse customer base, it is amazing how Toronto can handle the task
with such efficiency and aplomb. The prominent Toronto firm Rous and
Mann is world renowned for the services it provides and the consumer
base it has.</p><p>Be it photocopying, digital printing,
scanning, the Toronto printing companies are a force to be reckoned
with and clearly, amongst the best in the world at what they do. Be it
bulk orders or home deliveries of business cards or photocopied papers,
the companies keep a tab on how to the customer's life easy and they do
a very good job of it clearly. Such is the impact of printing that it's
used in everything we see nowadays. Print media, newspapers,
television, Photostats, Xerox copies or anything related to paper
media.</p><p>The big hoarding you see all over Toronto are
the ingenious work of the Toronto printing companies which surely do a
stupendous job of innovating themselves and presenting themselves
afresh in front of the huge customer base that they serve. Basically, a
printer is a company that provides commercial printing services, often
also offering typesetting and book-binding services. The terminology
can also pass on to people who work on printing presses, or who owns
printing companies. Colored prints, black and white prints, sizes of
all sorts in the paper segments make these companies at Toronto almost
unreal and diverse as they come. Printing presses also come under this
segment in Toronto.</p><p>A printing press is an automatic
tool for applying heaviness to an inked surface resting upon a means
(for example paper or fabric), thus transferring a picture. Nowadays,
the Toronto printing companies have started with electronic publishing.
Electronic publishing comprises of the digital publication of several
e-books and electronic articles, and the growth of digital libraries as
well as catalogues. Electronic publishing has turn out to be ordinary
in technical publishing where it has been disagreed that peer-reviewed
paper and scientific journals are in the procedure of being substituted
by electronic publishing. At the speed the Toronto companies are going,
Toronto printing company is surely going to have wide spread feet in
the print field.</p><p>Rafi Michael is an owner of Toronto

<p>'Kilroy was here' - The Concept</p><p>Originated
around World War II (1939-45) and Korean War (1950-53), 'Kilroy was
here' is an American culture expression, often displayed in graffiti
(name given to images or letters written in any manner on property).
This phrase is framed differently in different countries, such as in
Australia the character peeping over a wall is called 'Foo,' 'Sapo' in
Chile, 'El Fisgon' in Mexico, and in the U.K., it is called 'Chad.'
Kilroy was represented as a bald cartoon character with a long nose. He
was shown gazing over a wall hiding everything except his eyes &
nose and sometimes fingers. This was declared as 'Kilroy was
here.'</p><p>The Origin</p><p>There are many
speculations about the origin of 'Kilroy was
here':</p><p>1. In December 1946, New York Times
acknowledged James J. Kilroy, a welding inspector at Bethlehem Steel
Shipyard in Quincy, Massachusetts for starting
it.</p><p>Usually, the inspectors used a chalk sign to mark
the number of rivets they have checked. The builders, whose rivets J.J.
had checked, were paid according to the number of rivets they put in.
The inspector would put a chalk mark at the end of their shift to show
the next inspector where they had left. Some crooked welders however,
would erase this chalk mark and would chalk a mark further back on the
joint to get double the pay. To prevent this Mr. Kilroy marked his
welding work with a long crayoned phrase that said 'Kilroy was here' on
the items he inspected. This became a common sight in the shipyard and
was imitated by workers when they moved around the
world.</p><p>2. Another origin says that the United
States service members would draw the doodle and would write the phrase
'Kilroy was here' in the places they would visit, or be stationed at.
Probably, thousands of service members saw this slogan on the outgoing
ships, thereby placing these slogans in different places, especially in
the newly captured areas during the World War 2.</p><p>3.
Another possibility was that Kilroy was actually Richard Kilroy O
Malley from Butte, the author of 'Mile High Mile Deep' and an associate
press correspondent, who was posted in Berlin, Korea, Cyprus, and many
other countries.</p><p>The Myths</p><p>Some of
the myths revolving around the graffiti are that
of:</p><p>• Adolf Hitler, who believed that Kilroy was
some super person, as he kept coming up in Naza installations
<br>• Stalin being the first to enter an outhouse, especially
built for the leaders of the post dam conference and he excitedly asked
'who is this Kilroy?'</p><p>However, this graffiti made its
presence in the difficult to reach places such as Statue of Liberty,
Marco Polo Bridge in China, the peak of Mount Everest, etc. Today,
'Kilroy was here' remains a fanciful symbol of the significant
achievements of the entire generation of Americans during the 20th
century's dark hour.</p><p>Annette Labedzki received her

<p>Baroque Painting - The History
<br>Baroque was a form of Western Painting that lasted for over a
century, beginning around year 1600. It was a successor of Renaissance
Art Movement. Baroque was influenced by the socio-political upheaval of
the period. This phase witnessed the resurrection of church and strict
religious order, limited to the traditional school of thought. It
pervaded afar, and found its followers even among the Protestants.
Although, some of the themes Baroque painters covered were similar to
the earlier styles, they differed in their
treatments.</p><p>The Intricacies
<br>Baroque Painting was more dramatic in representation than its
precursor, with a strong focus on religious, mythological, and
historical themes. An important attribute of the Baroque painters was
that they consciously left out the climax of an allegory. They
exaggerated the emotional force of their work by capturing the juncture
before the performance of the 'main' act. The color palette of Baroque
painting was dominated by deep and rich colors, such as red (for
sanctity, valor, and gore), blue (for royalty and station), brown (for
earthy elements and outfits of the downtrodden), black-grey (for night,
gloom, and mourning), and other nature colors like green, sky-blue, and
white. Light played a very significant role in this sect of art, where
portrayals were mostly 'dark' throughout the frames, and light
emphasized the focal points.</p><p>Baroque Artists
<br>Leading Baroque painters hailed from all across Europe,
including Netherlands (Dutch), Flemish Region, France, Spain, Italy,
and Portugal. Among the noted painters of this era were Rembrandt,
Johannes Vermeer, Caravaggio, Anthony van Dyck, Nicholas Poussin, Jan
Steen, Paul Rubens, Velázquez, Jan de Beaugrand, and
Tiepolo.</p><p>Baroque Works
<br>Rembrandt's 'The Night Watch' is one of the most outstanding
pieces that truly embody the signature traits of Baroque Painting. This
painting was created to glorify the victorious Mayor of Amsterdam,
Frans Banning Cocq. This magnificent piece is remarkable for its
Symbolism and the use of light. Rembrandt has brilliantly highlighted
the protagonist, his lieutenant, and the symbol of victory (the girl in
yellow), against a dark backdrop, full of celebrating military
personnel. Another distinguishing frame from that genre is 'Crucifixion
of Saint Peter' by Caravaggio. This dramatic painting emphasized the
subject (St. Peter) through a near perfect interplay of illumination
and murkiness. The central figure of St. Peter is brightly lit and the
faces of his executors are either turned away or poorly lit. Yet
another matchless painted work of Baroque origin was Vermeer's 'The
Girl with the Pearl Earring,' which is famous for its simple subject (a
common girl wearing a black pearl) wrapped in an arresting
illustration.</p><p>Baroque painting gained momentum due to
the talents associated with it, as much as due to its techniques and
style. No matter which factor played a greater role, this genre was one
of the most influential in the history of Western
Art.</p><p>Annette Labedzki received her BFA at the Emily

<p>Process Art - The History
<br>The exact origin of Process Art is considered to be somewhere
around mid-1960s. Considering the human inquisitive disposition, it can
be said that it originated around the time when the world was trying to
understand the reasons behind their acts during and post the world
wars. Process Art began in the Americas and Europe, spreading soon to
the rest of the world. The Drip Paintings of the American painter
Jackson Pollock (1912-56) are often credited with its
onset.</p><p>The Details
<br>Process Art is a revolutionary movement where creativity is
the focus, rather than the form of art, such as paintings, sculpture,
and pottery. It is concerned with the process going into forming an
artwork. It is more of a ritual, a realization of performance, and the
sense of pride. Process Art treats creativity as a beautiful journey
and not as a means of obtaining a product in the form of a work of art.
The most sought after themes in Process Art are change and transience,
which are a driving force of life. Process Art involves improvisation,
adaptability, change, and liberation. Use of materials, like wax, felt,
and latex are more common than paint and colors, which emphasizes its
ephemeral nature. In fact, it aims to laude nature and not represent
the various forms of nature, which are often subject of the other art
forms.</p><p>The Artists
<br>Process artists often prefer anonymity to popularity. But,
the fame achieved by great artists is always when they expected it the
least. American sculptor Lynda Benglis (born 1941), British-Sri Lankan
artist Chris Drury (born 1948), German-American sculptor Eva Hesse
(1936-70), and American artist Bruce Nauman (born 1941) are often
considered as the leaders of this art form. However, artists like
Robert Morris (American - born 1931), Christopher Le Tyrell, and Alan
Scarritt have also made a mark for themselves in the genre. Their
masterly use of cutting, hanging, dropping, and other organic processes
used to bring out the essence of Process Art.</p><p>The Art
Works
<br>Process artists accomplish their artwork by the use of
perishable and transitory materials, such as dead rabbits, steam, fat,
ice, cereal, sawdust, and grass. Its forms of shamanic and religious
rituals, sand painting, sun dance, and other cultural forms are well
known. However, the most famous Process artwork is the construction of
a Vajrayana Buddhist Sand Mandala of the Medicine Buddha by the monks
of Namgyal Monastery in Ithaca (2001), New
York.</p><p>Annette Labedzki received her BFA at the Emily

<p>Reverse Phone Books - Digital Wild Western Frontier of Information<br>
By <a href="http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=George_Wischler" >George Wischler</a></p>
<p>Lets face it - for most or all of us alive today, the digital
frontier is probably the last unexplored frontier we'll ever see. The
Internet, computers, and wireless technology have brought a tremendous
number of new capabilities to almost everyone on the planet, and this
frontier continues to expand daily. Communication has been enabled in
so many new ways, from video phones to instantaneous sharing of
pictures, messages, documents, and almost
anything.</p><p><b>So why is it we still can't find
someone's cell phone number in the
book?</b></p><p>Truth is, telecommunications
companies have been playing the role of sheriff in cyber-town. They
realize there are many unscrupulous telemarketers which are waiting in
angst for your personal information so that they may descend upon you
like vultures waiting for a freshly rotten meal. They'll use minutes
you pay for in an attempt to sell stuff you don't need, like warranty
renewals for your 12 year old car. And really, nobody wants this -
surprisingly enough.</p><p><b>How can I Lookup Cell
Phone Numbers</b></p><p>But there are ways to find
what you seek. The common starting point for most of us is a search
engine. We've come to believe that search engines are the great oracles
of the Internet, providing everything we could want to know about a
subject. And in many ways they are. You simply type your number into
the search engine and <i>'wa la'</i>. A great wealth of
websites are returned. Online phone books. Forum pages. Volunteer
directories. Community number reporting sites. All of these can provide
us with a basic overview of most numbers - such as the carrier and type
of phone. However, they rarely provide more than this, especially for
cell phones or private calls.</p><p>Instead for more
detailed information, we must turn to specialized 'reverse cell phone
directories'. These websites collect names, addresses, background info,
court records, marital records, and much more about 98% of all phone
numbers from public records. This includes cell phones, privately
listed numbers, and other phone types. After paying a small operating
cost, these directories can be searched an unlimited number of times to
get information in seconds. And in the rare case that information is
unavailable, the fee is refunded.</p><p>So while cellular
carriers will continue to police the town regarding customer privacy
for good reasons, we still have a fighting chance against predators who
steal our information and use the very privacy created for protection
against us.</p><p>As for the next frontier - it'll be a
whole lot bigger and harder to patrol. 20 <i>billion</i>
light years to the nearest star - any takers for that
vacation?</p><p>Explore <a target="_new"

<p>The Arrogance of Technologists - Why They Should Treat End Users Like The Dummies They Are<br>
By <a href="http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Steve_Freedman" >Steve Freedman</a></p>
<p>Recent experience and and excellent article in CIO magazine
have me thinking about some of the things that are wrong about the
Culture of Technology.</p><p>The article in CIO magazine
"How to Save the Internet
[http://www.cio.com/archive/031505/security.html]", the hilarious March
28 post (India Calling) at the <a target="_new" rel="nofollow"
href="http://theviewfromlandmark.blogspot.com">Landmark.org
Blog</a> (I found them because they had signed up for my
"Blinking Cursor PC Security Newsletter"), my own experience with HP
Technical “Support” and Technical Support with Western Digital about an
external hard drive all have something in
common.</p><p>They all highlight the fact that
Technologists (software and hardware companies) don’t get the fact that
the vast majority of their consumers are not
Technologists!</p><p>One of the points that the CIO article
(about improving the security of the Internet) makes is that
Technologists should “Treat End Users Like The Dummies They
Are.”</p><p>While the characterization may be offensive,
the principle is legitimate (read the article).</p><p>For
example, why should updating a computer system’s software to enhance
security (i.e. Microsoft SP2) NOT be automatic? (Yes, I know that for
SP2 as of April 12 it is – but it’s the principle I am discussing). Why
should millions of computers owned by non-Technologists be vulnerable
to becoming Zombies and tools of hackers to invade and compromise other
computers?</p><p>Yes, there should be an option for the
Technologists to opt-out (they have more complex needs), but the
default should mitigate towards a higher level of
security.</p><p>Another manifestation of the Arrogance of
Technologists is the information that comes with virtually any
technology. It is almost incomprehensible to anyone not specializing in
that particular aspect of technology. Try reading any of the articles
in Microsoft’s knowledge base. The information necessary is there, but
it might have just as well been written in
cuniform.</p><p>I recently purchased a 250 GB Western
Digital External Hard Drive as a backup, to follow my own advice in my
PC Security eBook "Help! Something’s Got Hold of My Computer and It
Won’t Let Go!” The instructions from Western Digital for dealing with
the file structure of the hard drive were incomprehensible to me, and
even confusing and incomplete for Western Digital Tech Support. I pity
the non-Techie who tried to wend their way through this
problem.</p><p>Finally, there is the issue of outsourcing
Technical Support to other countries.</p><p>I know, the
first thing that pops into people’s minds is “Here’s a guy who’s an
‘America Firster’ who is prejudiced against any
foreigners.”</p><p>My history belies that perception. I’m
an ex-Peace Corps Volunteer, speak several languages and was Director
of the Human Rights Center in Portland,
Oregon.</p><p>However the issue is customer service,
satisfaction and the costs involved. As documented in Bud Stolker’s
Landmark.org blog, there is a difference not only in language (yes, I
know that English is the primary language of India, where much of HP
Tech Support is located - but just because it is "English" does not
mean it can be understood!), but also culture.</p><p>Here
is the script with which the HP Tech Support phone is answered in
India:</p><p>“Denku for galling HB. Sor, id is my gol to
make zhur you ar gombleedly sadisfied doday, ifa denny dime you need me
to sbeeg slowoor or rebeet zumding, I will be habby do do
zo.”</p><p>That’s all very well and good, that they address
up front that there may be some difficulty communicating. How much
better would it be if they ELIMINATED the
problem?</p><p>Here are the other facts HP should be
considering:
<br>1) If the average computer user is calling Tech Support
he/she is probably frustrated, upset, fearful that their data will
disappear and usually are under some kind of
deadline.</p><p>2) They usually DO have to ask Tech Support
to “sbeeg slowoor or rebeet zumding,” often many times. This costs the
customer additional time and stress and results in having to make
multiple calls back to Tech Support (which costs HP more money and
loses them customers).</p><p>3) I was once told to “take my
computer to Radio Shack,” an “authoorized HB rebair fazilidy where a
benge tegnizhun will diagnoz the broblem.”</p><p>Is anyone
aware of a Radio Shack that actually has a “bench technician?” It was
obvious that the Tech Support rep had NEVER been in a Radio
Shack.</p><p>4) When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I
was told that they were all in a meeting. When I asked for the Tech
Support’s name he said he was not allowed to tell me. When I insisted,
he said his last name was “Pavilion.” How strange that it was the same
as the name of an HP product. See Bud’s Blog for a similar
situation.</p><p>In the U.S., most call centers give a
first and last name, and often a Customer Service Representative’s ID
number at the beginning of the call.</p><p>The point is
that Technology companies are insensitive to the fact that their
Customers are NOT Technologists, they are ordinary people who are just
trying to get the Technology to work.</p><p>Steve
Freedman</p><p>Author of <a target="_new"

put a primer on the techniques of painting. As a result, it is
distinguished by a highly simplistic color scheme, which does not make
use of any sketching or gray-scale painting base. Color Field is a flat
design of bold colors, as streaks, bands, continuous brushwork, or
uniform color canvas. The emphasis here is on the color harmony, such
that the qualities of individual colors are brought out. Dull tones or

<p>Color Field Painting - The History
<br>Color Field painting was a very popular form of Abstract Art
of the mid-twentieth century. It was a pioneering style of some lead
Abstract Expressionists of New York, who found their motivation in
European Modernism.</p><p>The Intricacies
<br>Like most of the abstract style, Color Field does not put a
primer on the techniques of painting. As a result, it is distinguished
by a highly simplistic color scheme, which does not make use of any
sketching or gray-scale painting base. Color Field is a flat design of
bold colors, as streaks, bands, continuous brushwork, or uniform color
canvas. The emphasis here is on the color harmony, such that the
qualities of individual colors are brought out. Dull tones or clashing
combinations are not acceptable. Most of these works are set in
colossal frames that make the interplay of colors even more
prominent.</p><p>Types of Color Field Painting
<br>The methodology of producing a Color Field work is varied.
<br>• Stain Painting: It is the most famous procedure of all.
Originated by Joan Miro, it involves dabbing or pouring highly diluted
paint on unprimed canvas. The natural movement of the paint through the
porous cloth creates beautiful hues and fusion patterns. Helen
Frankenthaler's 'Mountain and Sea' and Morris Louis' 'Where' are the
classic examples of Stain Painting.
<br>• Spray Painting: As the name suggests, Spray Painting
involves the use of a color spray gun to create blended hues with
finely speckled appearance. Jules Olitski was the father of Spray
Painting, whose 'Comprehensive Dream' and 'Draky' are masterworks in
graded tones.
<br>• Magna Painting: Magna Painting was similar in procedure
as Stain Painting and employed the use of magna super, diluted in
turpentine oil or alcohol. Magna is a form of acrylic paint, which is
insoluble in water. Sam Golden and Leonard Bocour developed it, but
Morris Louis mastered its use. His magnificent pieces, 'Point of
Tranquility' and 'Number 99 (1959 - 60)' are some famous creations of
this genre.
<br>• Striping: Stripes are color bands in no particular
combination. Different painters adopted different forms of stripes in
their works. For instance, Morris Louis and Barnett Newman painted in
verticals, while David Simpson and Kenneth Noland produced horizontal
designs. 'Black Grey Beat' by Gene Davis is one of the significant
works in Stripes. It remarkably includes bright colors in between the
dull gray and black vertical stripes, highlighting the vibrancy of
those shades.</p><p>Despite all the criticism of being a
'childish' art, Color Field remains a popular form of Abstract Art,
finding place in many fields.</p><p>Annette Labedzki

<p>Nouveau Realisme - The Concept
<br>Hooped mutually in 1960 with the signing of a never-before
manifesto, promising French avant-garde artists dreamed to conceptually
face-lift the existing artistic forms. As a medium, they selected
abstraction, betraying the preconception of art, popular during the
period. In an effort to confront reality, Nouveaux Realists focused on
the human body and day-to-day commodities, displaying them into
conglomerations, producing action-spectacles and confusing intricacies,
and even destructing them.</p><p>The History
<br>This French art movement transformed everyday objects and
debris into art, on the belief that the existing painting was incapable
of conveying the reality of the post-war society. Initiated by art
critic Pierre Restany and the painter Yves Klein during their first
collective exposition in the Apollinaire Gallery in Milan, Italy, this
society emphasized the meaning of the real and the contemporary
consumer entity. It was comparable to the Pop Art movement in New York.
Pierre Restany wrote the original manifesto for the group and named it
the 'Constitutive Declaration of New Realism.' Nine French artists
signed this joint avowal on October 27, 1960, in Yves Klein's workshop,
marking a formal onset of Nouveau Realisme. The artists were, Yves
Klein (1928-62), Arman (1928-2005), Francois Dufrêne (1930-82), Raymond
Hains (1926-2005), Martial Raysse (born 1936), Pierre Restany
(1930-2003), Daniel Spoerri (Romanian-Swiss - born 1930), Jean Tinguely
(Swiss - 1925-91), and Jacques de la Villeglé (born 1926). Later, in
and after 1961, César (French - 1921-98), Mimmo Rotella (Italian -
1918-2006), Niki de Saint Phalle (French - 1930-2002), Gérard Deschamps
(French - 1937), and Christo (Bulgarian - born 1935) joined
them.</p><p>The Details
<br>French art critic and cultural philosopher Pierre Restany
(1930-2003) coined the term 'Nouveau Réalisme' (New Realism) during an
early group exhibition in May 1960. By returning to "Realism," he was
referring to the nineteenth-century artistic and literary movement,
which focused to depict ordinary everyday Realism, devoid of any
idealization. However, Nouveau Realism was a novel idea in the sense
that it associated itself to the new truth and the reality of an urban
consumer society. It no longer branded with a symbolic image, but
depended on the arrangement of the object the artists
selected.</p><p>The Artists
<br>The advocates of New Realism displayed a unique moniker and
style to their work, despite the fact that the themes of ruin,
spontaneity, and destruction were repeated. Each of the Nouveau
Realists exhibited an impressive genre of their movement with their own
style. Deschamps finds previously completed works of art, Tinguely
fashioned moving sculptures & self-destructive machines, César
compressed metal, Sainte-Phalle shot her pieces, and Christo favors to
dangle the world's blatancy, re-creating a fresh face for well-known
monuments by enshrouding them.</p><p>Conclusion
<br>New Realism or Nouveau Realisme ended in 1970. Whatever stint
it had, the art form instilled creativity in everyday objects and
echoed their reverie, which is perhaps more alluring than the sobriety
and monotony even in today's Modern Art.</p><p>Annette
